Before speaking to a Newcastle Financial Adviser, there may be a few questions you’d like to know the answer to before booking an appointment.

To help, David Mitchell, the Newcastle Financial Adviser in our Whitley Bay branch answers some of the questions he is most commonly asked.

Is the advice available to new customers?

Yes, you don’t have to be an existing customer of Newcastle Building Society or Newcastle Financial Advisers to access professional support. In fact, you’re welcome to ask for advice even if you don’t take up our recommendations, we’re here to help.

Do I require a minimum investment to access a Financial Adviser?

No. However much you have and whatever your priorities, we are here for you. Unlike some UK banks and building societies, no minimum investment is required before you can access our support. We are open to all because we believe everyone should have access to financial advice.

What about fees?

There are no fees up front. You only pay a fee if you choose to go ahead with our recommendations and all fees or charges are clearly explained.

What type of financial advice do you offer?

We offer financial advice to help customers at all stages of life. We can help you reach your financial goals or we can provide guidance and assurance around plans you already have.

Pensions, investments, life and income protections insurance, inheritance tax planning – you can control them all in one place. The advice we provide is restricted advice and we will make a recommendation based on your personal circumstances and needs. This will be based on products from a limited number of companies that The Openwork Partnership has carefully selected.

And is there any obligation to take products offered?

Absolutely not. After we’ve explained our carefully considered recommendations we will always give you the space and time you need to think them through.

There is no obligation to go ahead with our recommendations and no pressure to make decisions. We believe in building long-term relationships with our customers, built on mutual trust and openness.

How can I speak to a Newcastle Financial Adviser?

The full team of financial advisers are on hand in Newcastle Building Society branches, over the telephone and through video calling. Telephone and video calling has been introduced so that you don’t need to be close to a branch to access our services and can receive all our experience, care and guidance from the comfort of your home.
