Today we have published our first United Nations Principles of Responsible Banking Progress Report (PDF, 355kB), marking an important milestone in our commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

The report outlines the society’s progress in supporting and implementing the principles and objectives of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Banking and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting key achievement across environmental, sustainability, social impact, community investment, and governance.

As a member-owned organisation, we recognise the important role financial institutions play in creating positive change. The publication demonstrates how the society is embedding sustainability into its strategy, operations and decision making while delivering value for members, colleagues and communities.

The inaugural Progress Report provides transparency on actions taken to date, reinforcing the society’s commitment to contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive economy.

"Publishing our first United Nations Progress Report reflects our commitment to acting responsibly and creating long term value for our members and wider society. We are proud of the progress made so far and recognise that the challenge is global, however solutions are not and we are continue to be focused on making a positive impact locally by supporting our members and communities."
