Reporting a scam or fraud
If you think you have been a victim of fraud, or if you are worrying about activity on your account, please talk to us. You should also contact us if you get documents for an account you did not open.

If you believe you have been a victim of fraud, you should also let the Police know. You may also want to check your credit file to see if any credit has been taken out in your name.

Report Fraud is the UK’s main centre for logging fraud and cybercrime. They give updates on common scams and advice on what to do if you are a victim.
Take Five is a national campaign that offers advice on how to protect yourself against fraud.
Stop! Think Fraud is a national campaign that gives anti-fraud advice to the public. It also helps victims find the right groups for more support.
CIFAS is the UK’s fraud prevention community. They support victims of fraud through information requests and protecting their personal details.
ScamSmart from the FCA is a campaign which gives a warning list to help spot and avoid scams. It also lets you report scammers. FCA Firm Checker allows you to check that a financial firm is authorised by the FCA and has FCA permission to provide the services you want.
Crimestoppers is an independent UK charity which allows anonymous crime reporting.
