With nearly four decades of financial-services expertise, Chris Keay has a great understanding of risk, regulation and operations.
He began his career in branch and retail banking, running a UK branch network, before moving into audit and risk. This experience of customer relationships is what drives his approach to risk management today.
Over the years, Chris has built and led risk teams across consumer-credit card operations, mortgage and credit-card lending, then moved into life & pensions, asset and wealth management, and distribution both in the UK and internationally.
After time spent supporting other businesses with risk transfer, IT migrations and mergers and acquisitions, Chris joined the Newcastle Building Society in 2018.
