Stuart is Chief Customer Officer and a Director of Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited, with over 35 years’ experience working within the financial services sector.  

Stuart is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds the Customer Experience Professionals Association qualification for senior business leaders. Stuart’s career has included spells with Virgin Money, where he was responsible for running branches, lounges and the ATM network; RBS International (Channel Islands), where he was Head of Mortgages and Head of Customer Experience; and NatWest, where he ran large teams across branches and private banking. Between 2020 and 2024 Stuart was on the board of the government’s High Streets Task Force and in 2025 joined the board of the rural retail task force.  

Stuart is responsible for the commercial performance and all customer-facing areas of the Newcastle Building Society, Manchester Building Society and Newcastle Financial Advisers brands. Between 2023 and 2025 Stuart was the managing Director of the Group’s outsource savings provider, Newcastle Strategic Solutions.
