The term extension must not go beyond our maximum term of 40 years (or 35 years if you are on our First Step product) and under our Mortgage Charter not beyond the retirement age of 70 (or your expected retirement age if this is lower than 70). If you select a term which goes beyond the retirement age then we will be in touch to arrange an appointment with our Mortgage Advice Team to carry out an affordability assessment.
